Oscar the Grouch Cakepops

What better for a toddler’s birthday party than a Sesame Street cakepoppalooza!?

Each pop is made with yellow cake and vanilla frosting rolled into balls then dipped in green candy melts, immediately adding white sixlets for the eyes and a halved black candy melt disc for the mouth. Once the candies were set enough to where they wouldn’t fall off, I then took a toothpick and poked/swirled the green candy melt around to add the “furry” texture of the puppet before it dried completely. Afterwards, the eyeball details were added with black and brown candy melts in a piping bag. Again, the brown candy melts were poked/swirled to get that “furry” texture on the eyebrows.
