Turkey Cakepops

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone and their families! I made these turkey cakepops for my family and, of course, they were a big hit.

Each turkey is made with yellow cake and vanilla frosting rolled into balls and dipped into brown candy melts. I then attached 5 pieces of candy corn to their rears for the tail and added the facial features with white, black, orange and red candy melts.

I think they turned out fairly cute! I was thrown a little by the chocolate candy melts — the bag said “cocoa candy melts” so I just assumed it was the color “cocoa” since they were brown, but they were actually chocolate flavored instead of the vanilla flavor they normally are. But luckily, chocolate is delicious so it obviously wasn’t a problem šŸ˜‰
